Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026.

This website (“the site”) is the personal portfolio of Blas Falconer. It is a static site designed to share Blas's books, poems, readings, and other public writing. This policy explains what limited information the site handles.

Information We Collect

The site does not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or third-party marketing scripts. We do not build visitor profiles.

  • Contact form. If you submit the contact form, the details you enter (name, email, message, and whether you ticked the email-list box) are delivered to Blas's email — either through your device's mail client, or through a form-delivery service that processes the submission solely to forward it. They are used only to reply to your inquiry and are not shared with or sold to anyone else.
  • Email list (opt-in only). The contact form includes an unticked checkbox to join Blas's email list for occasional news and a future newsletter. We add you only if you tick it — sending a message never signs you up. Your consent can be withdrawn at any time: every mailing will include an unsubscribe link, and until mailings begin you can write to the address below to be removed. The list is never shared or sold.
  • Hosting logs. Whichever service hosts the site may keep standard access logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested) for security and reliability. These logs are controlled by the hosting provider, not this site.

Cookies

The site itself does not set tracking or advertising cookies. A small preference — whether you have dismissed the cookie notice — is stored in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Third-Party Resources

The site's fonts and images are served from the site's own domain — no third-party requests are made to display any page.

  • Outbound links to publishers, retailers, and literary magazines. Once you click through, those sites' policies apply.

We do not embed advertising networks, social pixels, or session recorders.

Your Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, the legal bases for the handling described above are consent (the email list) and legitimate interest (replying to a message you sent). Wherever you are, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of anything you have submitted, and you may withdraw email-list consent at any time.

Because the site does not keep a database of visitors, there is normally little to access, correct, or delete. If you have written to Blas via the contact page and would like your message deleted, or want off the email list, please write to blasfalconer@gmail.com and it will be honored.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date at the top will change accordingly. Material changes will be summarized on the page.
